As the holiday season approaches, King Elementary School hosts an Angel Tree event, a cherished tradition that spreads joy and goodwill throughout the community. This initiative invites local organizations and community members to sponsor children, ensuring that every child at King Elementary receives a gift during the holiday season. In an effort to create an inclusive and impactful experience, each child’s identity remains anonymous, allowing the focus to be on the spirit of giving and community.
This year, they’re extending an invitation to potential sponsors who wish to make a difference in the lives of our students. We invite you to join us for the Angel Tree Celebration on December 17th from 5 PM to 7 PM at King Elementary. This festive evening will feature music, games, family activities, and an opportunity to witness firsthand how your generous contributions have brightened the holiday season for our students.
As a special part of the celebration, we encourage all donors to set up a table at the event, where families can learn more about your organization and its mission. This is a wonderful and optional opportunity to connect with the community and showcase the difference your support can make.
How to Get Involved:
Our teachers have assisted students in creating wish lists of up to three items, with a total value of no more than $25. Sponsors are asked to purchase the requested gifts and coordinate with Tabby for drop-off or pick-up instructions. Alternatively, gifts can be given directly to the student’s teacher, who will ensure they reach Tabby.
If you are interested in sponsoring a child this holiday season, please reach out to King’s Community School Director, Tabitha (Tabby) Benitez, at tdbenitez@sdlancaster.org.
At its core, the Angel Tree event embodies the values of inclusivity, community, and generosity. It is a time when we come together to support one another, celebrating the bond that unites us as neighbors and family.
We look forward to celebrating the spirit of giving and hope to see you at the Angel Tree Celebration! For any questions or further information, please do not hesitate to reach out.
Let’s spread joy this holiday season!
